Start-up Animation

The Start-up Animation is a layer control in a special compressed format. When displaying multiple timing related images, the system will automatically compress the images to reduce the memory footprint, but at the same time, the quality of the images will be compromised.

Click the "Add Control" button in the "Edit" menu, and then click "Startup Animation" in the drop-down list of controls. A message "Add widget successfully" will pop up in the upper right corner of the interface, you can see the newly added control in the "Edit Area", and you can edit it in the "Properties" column.

Name, ID, Coordinates, Width, Height, Blocking Touch, Transform, Texture Compression Mode, Replaceable Upgrade, Texture are common attributes, which are introduced in the "Basic Design - Edit Attributes" section, so we won't repeat them here.

Please refer to Layer Controls for the property settings of the startup animation control.

In particular, the texture setting of the startup animation supports batch insertion of images.

I. In the batch selection window, the system defaults to sort the images uploaded by users in the resources in "(n)" format. Users can check the pictures as the texture of the Start-up Animation on demand.

Below is the image set which has been renamed well and uploaded to IDE.

Just check all the boxes and click "Add".

Note: Parentheses are English characters, the name in front of the parentheses is arbitrary, the numbers in the parentheses may not be consecutive, the system automatically recognizes the numbers in the parentheses and arranges them in the order of smallest to largest.

Supplementary: The method of batch renaming a set of pictures in "(n)" format: For example, if you want to batch rename the following set of pictures in "(n)" format, you can refer to the following steps:

  1. Select pictures in full.

  1. Right-click on the first image and select "Rename".

  1. Type in any number and hit the "Enter" key.

  1. You can see that this group of pictures has been successfully renamed in "(n)" format, so that it can be imported into the IDE and then recognized and sorted by the Start-up Animation control (or layer control, transparency layer control).

II. In addition, the user has the option of filtering images using the #Category_Sequence#.

Below is the image set that has been renamed to upload it to the IDE.

Check "Filter by #Category_SerialNumber#" in the startup animation control, and then select the corresponding "category" in the drop-down box and IDE will filter them out automatically.

Select all these pictures and click "Add".

Note that the "Category" here can be in English or Chinese, and the serial number is not required to be consecutive. This way is more convenient when there are many groups of startup animation (or many groups of pictures) in the project.

Supplementary: In order to facilitate the user to name the picture sets, it is recommended to use Rename Software, the steps are as follows:

  1. Add pictures.

  2. Click "File Name", and name the pictures according to "#Category_" in "New File Name".

  3. Set the start value to "0" and the increment amount to "1".

  4. Check the box "Increment after filename".

  1. Click "Start Processing", you can see that the first half of the file name of the picture set has been batch renamed, which is not yet finished.

  2. Click "Extension", set the original extension for "New Extension", leave "Start Value" unset, and set "." in the "Replace" column. In the "Replace" column, set "." Replace with "#." in the "Replace" column.

  3. Click "Start Processing" again, you can see that the last half of the file name of the picture set is batch renamed again, and the batch renaming work has been completed at this time.

The texture setting of Start-up Animation also supports MP4 video insertion, after inserting the MP4 video, it will automatically split the video into several "frame pictures", and users can delete some of the "frame pictures" according to their needs in order to reduce the storage occupation.
